Gig Em!

Well we finally took the plunge and headed to College Station with the kiddos. They got to experience Aggie Land live and up close. They had a blast! They had a great time pre-game and Jordan even got to give Fuller and some of the other boys a high five at half-time!

Six Flags over Texas

I received some free tickets through school so we thought we'd try it out. I mean hey, free tickets... if they hate it, all we paid for is parking! Anyway, we got there and they were so excited. We started off on the Wyle E Coyote roller coaster to see how they would do. They LOVED it! We then hit the log ride, La Vibora, Judge Roy Scream, Roaring Rapids, and ended the day with Splashdown! I was so impressed with the rides that they rode! Jacob wanted to ride The Texas Giant but missed it by a couple of inches. I don't have any pics to share because I was riding the rides with the kiddos. I tried to get them to take pics with the characters, but they were too scared! Funny... they were scared of the people in costumes but not the roller coasters! We're definately going back next year!!

Happy 4th of July!!

Our neighborhood had their Independence Day Celebration this past Saturday. Jacob & Jordan both decorated their bikes and rode in the parade. The theme this year was "An Old Fashion American Picnic". We made it through the parade before a big storm blew in and cancelled out all the fun bounce houses and slides. We figured the fireworks would be rescheduled but around 9:20 they started going off. The kids and I got up and went to watch from our backyard... in the rain! They enjoyed the fireworks and I enjoyed watching their eyes light up as each one went off. Oh to be a child again!!

Jacob's Preschool Graduation

Well it's official... Jacob is no longer a pre-schooler... he's a future kindergartner! His class ended the year with a little graduation ceremony. They sang 3 songs, did little dances with the songs, received awards (Jacob got the "Hard Worker" award), and watched a slide show of their year. It was very cute!! *sniff*

The Big T-Baller

Jacob just completed his 1st season of t-ball. He played on the Astros. He was quite the little slugger and by the end, was fielding the balls pretty well too! He loved to play pitcher because he said "that's where all the action is!" Now it's on to flag football!

Jordan's Spring Recital

Jordan had her 3rd dance recital recently. She performed a tap dance to "Animal Crackers in My Soup" and a monkey/ballet dance to "I Want to Be Like You" from Jungle Book. They were so cute!!

Catch Up Time!

It's amazing how time flies after Spring Break! I've been so caught up in trying to make it through the end of school that I've forgotten about my blog! Now that it is summer... I hope to be better!

Providence Christmas

Our neighborhood has a tree-lighting ceremony every year. We missed the lighting this year because Jacob was singing Christmas carols with his class. But we did make it back in time to meet one of Santa's reindeer and Santa himself! (We would have gone on one of the horse-drawn carriage rides, but it was an hour wait!) Oh and Jacob wanted me to let everyone know that he took the picture of Vixen!

Jordan's Christmas Recital

Now that I can finally post pictures again, I'm back! Jordan had her 2nd dance recital in December. Her class was dressed up as Christmas mice. They were soooo cute! The dance was adorable as always and this year her teacher did a dance. It was to Christmas canon and it was beautiful. They ended the recital with a surprise visit from Santa. Jordan could not keep her eyes off of him. She wouldn't sit in his lap, but she did not want to leave where he was sitting! I can't wait for her next recital! She gets to move up classes. She will now be in Pre-Ballet/Tap. She is going to LOVE wearing those tap shoes!!
