Family Pictures

We finally got around to taking family pictures. The last time was 2005 so I figured it was time. Instead of doing in studio, we opted for a location shoot. We went to Legacy Park over by Stonebriar Mall. It was a beautiful area for pictures. The kids were all excited, I thought we'd be getting some great family pics! Boy... was I kidding myself! I mean, we did get some decent ones of us, lots of great ones of the kids, but I was hoping for that one great one to give to everyone. Out of the 734 pictures that were taken, I think 650 of them had either Jacob's or Jordan's tongues hanging out of their mouth! Little stinkers! I finally had to convince myself that they are 2 & 4 and that hey, that's my family! I have goofball kids and I wouldn't trade them for anything!!

Halloween

This year the kiddos decided to be Cinderella, aka "Tindalella", and Superman. They had a blast trick or treating around the neighborhood! Jacob is already making plans for next year!

School Days

It's been a while since I've posted. Things have been busy since school has started back. Jacob LOVES school and is happiest when he is there! He loves his friends, his teachers, especially learning new things! He's definately my academic kiddo! Jordan loves her friends, her teachers and is definately at school to socialize! She can never tell you what she learned but she can tell you who she played with and what they did! Jacob, on the otherhand, will go into detail about what he's learned. They are so different when it comes to school, but I love listening to both of them!

Space Center Houston

While we were down in Houston visiting my parents, we took the kiddos to Space Center Houston. We checked out their current exhibit, Grossology, which was filled with all the disgusting things that animals and insects do. We also explored the inside of a spaceship, tried on space helmets, looked at all the space gear that astronauts wear, designed a spaceship, went on a tour of mission control, and played in the biggest play area ever!

Fun in the... flowerbed?

What better place to have a good time than the flowerbed!

Boy was that a dirty bathtub when they were done!

A Weekend in the Country...

I just recently uploaded the pics so I thought I'd write a post. A few weeks ago we went and spent a weekend at Grandma & Papa Franks' house in Comanche, TX. It's nice to get away to their house because they live out in the country... no neighbors... no noise... just peace and relaxtion! They do have quite a few cows, calves, and a really loud bull on their property. Jacob enjoyed watching them go to the bathroom (such a boy!), but Jordan was not a big fan... she preferred to watch them from the house. They were too loud for her!

The first night we were there, we got to actually see fireflies! James, Jacob, and Jordan chased them around the backyard trying to catch one. James finally managed to capture one and put it in a jar. Jacob thought it was funny that he had a light on his bottom! We brought the firefly inside for closer observation. I got some pictures of the capture... even tried to take one with the lights out... see if you can see him!

Mommy/Daughter Day

Jordan and I had a Mommy/Daughter day. We went to the mall and visited the "Build A Bear Workshop". I wasn't sure what to expect since I'd never been there before. Jordan had a bright pink bear picked out immediately, butI decided to show her some other options... just in case. We went from wanting the pink bear, to an orange cat, and then there it was... Hello Kitty. She immediatly wanted that one. From there we picked out a heart, which she kissed before putting inside her kitty. She got to help stuff the kitty as well... that was pretty cool. After Kitty was all sewn up, Jordan got to give her kitty an air bath (complete with bathtub and brushes). Of all the clothes offered, she picked out some Hello Kitty PJ's. We then got to do the birth certificate... Jordan is now the proud mother of "Kitty Kitty Bang Bang"!

Swim Lessons

Wow... it's been a really long time since I have posted. Well the kids completed their first session of swim lessons. It was great to see how much they have improved! Last summer, Jacob would not even get on the first step without arm floaties, a ring around his waist, and holding on to Mommy or Daddy. Now, he's going all the way down to the last step and crawling along the edge of the pool. He's not a big fan of dunking his head under, but we're getting there. Jordan will put her head under... she has less fear! She will stand on the side of the pool and jump in to Mommy or Daddy and completely submerge! She's going to be our little fish! I can't wait to spend the rest of the summer practicing the skills they have learned... it is so fun to watch their faces light up!
